Zen Being

there’s this idea
that keeps trying
to own itself
inside me

get the fuck out!

who said that?

Word Are Words

the words
are the words
are the words
which is not worlds
or whirls
or squirrels

it is the language
of explanation
and it can weave
a way or two or three

the language
of the heart
is openess—
is surrender—
which is a trust
that can’t be described
but only experienced

a feeling
that can and does
take on
human form

Mind, Body & Spirit

SPIRIT is the
inherent abundance
in the all-possible
it is the media—
the eternal means

MATTER
is the love that
possibility has for itself
the eternal joy
inherent in being—
in being able to exist

POSSIBILITY
is the awareness
of abundant joy
an abundant joy
in pure awareness

this joyous awareness

Awareness Are Us

awareness
can never be
“of” anything
because the “of”
is ever changing
transitory
energetic

the only “of”
that awareness
can have is
“of” itself

awareness
having
no direction
simply IS

Seven Squids

the first is empty
the second is in turmoil
the third begins to
structure the turmoil
the fourth is a
fully structured turmoil
the fifth begins to
spiral this turmoil slightly
the sixth completes
the spiral

the seventh begins
to fade the spiral
toward emptiness
finally emptying again
yet conscious
of the emptiness

Eternally Present

consciousness cannot be both
making an effort
and witnessing itself
simultaneously

attentive and clear
one witnesses capacity

awareness, effortless
with no “aware of”
subject and object ceasing
this is our nature

we are this capacity
we are creativity
we are possibility
eternally present
living as one

Figure Eight

FROM
simplicity
the single most
simplistic
and implicit
(pure potential)
TO
the most
complex
and complicated
and
then
BACK
to the simple
the utmost
of simplicity
(i.e. nothingness)

the complexity
is so seductive
to the mind

the simple
so rewarding
for the heart

Observer and Observed

no seeking
will give me
what I seek

seeking self by self
requires doing nothing
obviously

for seeker
and sought
are one

to find self
one must stay
at home
(in the self)
